Absolutely! Nature Connects’ trips are ideally suited to the solo traveller – you get all of the excitement of discovering new places combined with the security of travelling with an organised group. It might feel a little awkward at first , but most people who are joining for the first time are surprised how quickly and easily the group gels. You’ll meet many other solo travellers – in fact many people make life-long friendships on our trips.

Nature Connects’ groups are diverse. The trips appeal to a wide range of travellers, most of whom share an adventurous spirit. The trips are conducted in English and so they attract travellers from all over the world who mostly live in the Netherlands (we’ve got many expats joining).

It’s your chance to experience new destinations, try different activities and socialise with an international group of new friends (and maybe catch up with some old ones too). There is a minimum age of 25 for every trip Nature Connects offers.

Yes you need to make a reservation for all our trips. Reservations help us determine the number of guides we need, to ensure that the groups remain manageable and enjoyable and they allow us to notify you in case of any changes to the trip.

Booking a trip with Nature Connects is easy, just fill in the booking form and we’ll get in touch with you shortly. It is also possible to book by phone or email. Once you’ve filled in the booking form we will reserve a space for you up to 7 days. After we’ve received your payment your space is secured and you’re going on a great trip!

Group sizes are kept low so you have the freedom to move around and get involved with your surroundings, as well as more personal attention from the local guides. This intimate size ensures that your group will not crowd your experience. You can expect up to 18 travellers on a trip but the average is 12.

Yes, you can book a private room. If you’d like a private room, please let us know in time so we can organize it for you. There might be additional costs to this.

It is always recommended to pack as light as possible however the specific requirements for your trip will vary widely depending on where and when you are traveling. Two weeks before the trip you’ll be sent a suggested packing list. The checklist is tour specific.

It’s difficult if not impossible to join a tour after it has begun. It is possible to leave a tour early however you will be responsible for your own arrangements from the moment you decide to leave the tour. You would also be responsible for all costs associated with joining a tour late or leaving one early. If you feel this may be necessary please consult Nature Connects before you book your adventure.

We do hike in the rain, snow, wind and any other weather conditions that nature decides to throw at us. After all, we’re going on an adventure. If the weather is unsafe for any reason, the trip will be changed or postponed. You will be notified the week of your trip if there are changes due to weather.
