FULL MOON WALK (AMSTERDAMSE BOS)
When the night falls a new world starts to wake up, join us for an exciting full moon journey in the Amsterdamse Bos. Listen to the landscape come alive with the yelps and rustlings of nocturnal creatures. Interacting with nature at night is a unique experience. Armed with torches we’ll listen to the sounds of the night and search for nocturnal animals. This walk is a great opportunity to experience the sights and sounds of the Amsterdamse Bos at night.
AMSTERDAMSE BOS
Located on the edge of the city, the Amsterdamse Bos is Amsterdam’s largest park and recreational area. The Amsterdamse Bos is three times the size of Central Park (NY City). It is an essential green resource for the crowded city. The lush forests and grassy meadows offer a lot of space for walking and the area is home to several animals like polecats, weasels, ermines, Scottish highlanders, hawks, owls and bats.
UNPLUG AND EXPLORE
Parts of this walk will be in silence. It offers you the chance to hear the sounds of the night and to connect with others who want to experience nature fully and deeply. By choosing to stay away from friendly chit-chat and explore what it’s like to walk in nature without speaking, we have a chance to engage our senses more fully and to truly connect with the natural world.
